So there's this weird flu virus-with-extra-vomiting going around my school, and I felt rather sick and queasy end of last week, from about last Tuesday onwards, actually. There are loads of people off sick at the moment, as in over 150. Most people have it really badly, a terrible cold and lots of throwing up. Not nice.

On Monday I came home after first period, still feeling pretty sick, but I was fine. I have a sore throat, but I haven't thrown up at all. I thought yeah, play it safe, Monday off.

Yesterday, my parents didn't wake me, so I had another day off.

Now, I get terrible, terrible, unimaginably bad paranoia. I hate missing lessons. Not only because I'm a complete nerd and I love learning, but because my school is such that if you miss a day, you spend about a week catching up.

And so today when they didn't wake me again until a few minutes ago, I was not happy.

I'm fine, and I just really want to get back to school! I miss my friends, I miss my lessons, I miss hauling my bag upstairs in the mornings, I miss learning!!

Problem is, they've said that when you show symptoms, you should take five days off.

Not happening!! My school is having an exeat this weekend anyway (when we don't have chapel Friday evening or have lessons on Saturday), so they are telling people to come back after that. I have my last singing lesson before my Grade 6 tomorrow, and then the exam is on Monday. I could practice at home, but the piano is less than in tune, and I do really need my teacher.

As you guys can probably tell, I have been caused massive, massive stress at all this. Please, just let me learn!!

It's rather ironic, really. I spent hours and hours of my childhood begging and pleading not to go into school, and I just had an argument because I want to go in. Touché, fate.

Let's hope my parents listen to me and take me back in at breaktime.

I was back in school for about 20 minutes before they announced that they're closing So I get a four day weekend, when I usually only get one! Hurrah!
